Summer or winter, this is the perfect family get away! If you are looking for a
weekend out of the city or a family vacation, Edgewater has it all.
This 36 acre waterfront community on the Fraser River is a playground of stocked ponds, walking trails and private access to more than a 1/2 mile
of Fraser river. With enhanced wetlands and breathtaking views of Byers Peak and the Continental Divide, Riverfront at Edgewater has something for all members of the family.
Riverfront cabin sits directly on the river and
has ski slope views. It's only 5 miles to Sol Vista and 18 miles to Winter
Park/Mary Jane. There are walking trails around the 4 stocked fishing
ponds and a club house complete with pool, hot tub, fitness center and
more.
You can sit by the ponds or the river, enjoy a fire in the
copper fireplace and RELAX. BBQ on the small grill on the deck. A large grill and seating for larger groups is available at the Clubhouse. Kids will enjoy the the pool table and foosball at the Clubhouse. Jump in the heated pool and hot tub or
enjoy fishing the ponds and river. Either way, you'll be enjoying your
stay.
All of these activities below are within 20 minutes! There is an adventure waiting for everyone!
THE
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK - Enjoy the abundant wildlife in the park
as you hear the bugling elk, photograph moose in the willows, or catch
site of a bald eagle. Hike, bike, or horseback ride through the forest,
or drive over spectacular Trail Ridge Road into Estes Park for
festivals and shopping.
GOLFING - There are four world-class
golf courses surrounding Grand Elk Ranch. Within Grand Elk Ranch, you
will find the Grand Elk Golf Course (877-389-9333). The Headwaters Golf
Course at Granby Ranch / Sol Vista
(970-887-2709), and the Orvis
Shorefox Golf Course which is currently under construction are within 5
minutes. Within 20 miles in either direction, you will find the Pole
Creek Golf Course (970-887-9195) and the Grand Lake Golf Course
(970-627-8328).
HORSEBACK RIDING - Within fifteen minutes in any direction, you will find guided horseback riding.
HIKING
/ MOUNTAIN BIKING – Head over to Winter Park/Fraser within 15 – 20
minutes and ride over 600 miles of biking trails through the forest.
FISHING – Premium catch and release fly fishing can be found on the Fraser and Colorado rivers
BOATING
/ SAILING / WATERSKIING – Enjoy any of these activities at Lake Granby
which is within 5 minutes or travel over to Grand Lake and Shadow
Mountain Lake approximately 20 minutes away.
SKIING/
SNOWBOARDING - Just 1 mile to the east is Sol Vista Ski Area at Granby
Ranch (970-887-3384), a perfect family ski area. Colorado's favorite
ski resort, Winter Park Ski Resort (970-726-5514), along with Mary
Jane, is only 20 miles away.
SNOWMOBILING - Only 15 minutes away, you will find miles of groomed snowmobile trail in the quaint town of Grand Lake.
SNOWSHOEING
/ CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING - Visit Snow Mountain Ranch or Devil's Thumb for
miles and miles of groomed trails or explore the Arapahoe National
Forest and Indian Peaks Wilderness on your own in the backcountry.
Winter Park/Fraser also has an expanse of beautiful trails that can be
enjoyed by hikers/mtn. bikers/ snowshoers and cross-country skiers.
HOT
SPRINGS – Visit the town of Hot Sulfur Springs within 13 miles and
relax in the natural hot spring pools or enjoy any number of other spa
services that they offer.
